We have a unique opportunity for a Major Events Project Director to join our organisation, based in Europe, working closely with the Managing Director of AES and the Head of Sales. This role will be responsible for identifying, bidding, securing and leading the delivery of major event work in Europe. The role will be required to develop the appropriate sales and operational strategies to ensure that Aggreko achieves the agreed revenue and customer targets. The role will be part of the AES Leadership Team, reporting to the Managing Director
This role will manage the sales / technical and project management/operations functions that form part of a Major Event
Some of your key responsibilities
Provides leadership to multiple disciplines, cultures, and languages to deliver major events
Provides effective leadership and direction to ensure coordination between Sales, Operations, Finance and Administration and the broader business
Creates and effectively manages the client relationship, the steering committee and all stakeholders. suppliers associated with delivering the games
Sets and manages the commercials for the games, including budget, contractor rates, supplier costs etc.
Delivers Project Contribution through excellent project delivery and execution, driving revenue growth through the opportunity the duration of the project.
Works within a matrix organisation to identify and secure required resources, on boarding, off boarding, etc.
Developing and implementing first class project management capability to meet client demands
Builds sponsorship and engagement around the business for the project

Ensuring the highest standards of HSE are maintained across the event, ensuring all ‘in country’ business, labour, HSE, and compliance legislations are met
Ensures the appropriate mix and allocation of fleet throughout the area are available
Risk management – identify, analyse and control unacceptable risks. Incorporate into decision making process.
Facilitation skills – lead and chair group processes including meetings, group discussions, improvement and project teams.
Building capability – developing individuals and groups in order to increase the capability of the whole organisation.
Leading Others – the ability to create a compelling vision of the future and provide inspiration, clarity and direction.
