Field Service Technician 1

What you’ll do:
Level 1 Service Technicians will work closely with the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, and high-level Service Technicians to ensure that the customer’s needs are satisfied in an appropriate and timely manner. The successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 90% and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment to aid in retrofits and commissionings. You will be responsible for:
Providing infield support during retrofits
Providing infield support during commissionings
Providing infield support during service repairs
Providing advice and help to customers
Maintaining accurate and timely records of customer correspondence/discussions
Helping develop customer service standards, policies, and procedures
Analyzing customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions to the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager
Ensuring tools and equipment are operating properly
Working in all environments and weather conditions
Performing other duties as assigned
The qualifications you must have:
1+ year(s) working experience using tools and equipment required to maintain and repair company products
1+ year(s) working knowledge and application of arithmetic, geometry, electric circuits and electronics
1+ year(s) working experience with mechanical systems
1+ year(s) working experience with electrical systems
Valid driver’s license
Our preferred qualifications:
Willingness for extensive, frequent travel – up to 90%
Manufacturing and field tech experience
Background in solar industry
Computer programming skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Dexterity required to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures
