He angitūtanga: The opportunity
You will manage customer requests regarding, building issues, bylaws, noise and animal complaints, resource management. You will make sure the request and information reaches the right person, and keep the customer updated as required.
You will manage changing priorities across the region throughout the day. You will maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and care through active follow up as you work on a variety of requests.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You demonstrate strong customer service experience, maturity, excellent communication and listening skills as well as confidence to resolve queries, calm potential volatile situations. Ability to adapt and react promptly in a controlled, confident manner as multiple situations arise at the same time is key. You will bring knowledge of mobile technology including automated dispatch systems and your ability to accurately record and communicate job information.

You will be part of a dedicated team in Licensing and Regulatory Compliance (LnR). They provide compliance services for the directorate, administering the rules and bylaws that promote public health and protect Aucklanders from nuisance and harm, to ensure Auckland is a safe and healthy city, a great place to live, work and play, with an outstanding environment for now and future generations.
It is the largest local government compliance operation in Australasia, and deals with a substantial proportion of the requests for service received by the Council. Compliance activities are delivered through both planned, scheduled activities and unplanned responsive requests for service.

The Regulatory Dispatch team operates Monday to Sunday from 5:30 am to 7:30 pm (Morning shifts starts at 5:30 am and Afternoon shifts starts at 9:30 am).
This position works 40 hours per week as part of Dispatch operations 15 hours/7 days rotating shift pattern including weekends and public holidays.
