We are a small, fast-paced internal Creative Team who takes responsibility and ownership in creating superior creative for a beloved brand. We strive for consistent delivery of strategically sound, breakthrough creative solutions for many different audiences through a variety of media; from digital to print to in-theatre marketing.

You are a creative storyteller. You are an experienced Mid-level Art Director who can make visually dynamic and compelling designs. A brilliant graphic designer who has proven experience working with copywriters to concept campaigns. You’re comfortable creating a large volume and variety of content for multiple platforms. You have some proficiency directing photography and you are able to vocalize clear direction on set.

You’re a collaborative team player. You’re open to feedback and able to see the creative vision and bring it to life. You don’t grow attached to your individual ideas—instead, you have a strong desire to push them further. You are reliable, responsible and adaptable to the situations thrown your way. You can communicate effectively with the team—always engaged and prepared to speak up in conversation. You’re able to connect well with outside vendors such as stylists, photographers and agencies as needed.

You design with energy and quality. Detail-oriented with an eye for the aesthetic, you respect the relationship between words and design, and have a pulse on creative trends in marketing – particularly in digital and social media. While you have a strong knowledge of the digital landscape, you also have a general understanding of print production.

You create strategically. You have the ability to see a vision while always focusing on customer and business needs first and foremost. You deliver more than just beautiful design—your design decisions are consistently thoughtful and strategic.

You are organized, methodical, and timely. You work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and across many platforms with a passion for precision that does not sacrifice quality or brand vision. You understand the importance of process, deadlines, briefs, and creative direction.

You’re a motivated talent and you have a range of skill sets to show for it: digital, print, photography, animation, and you have the technical acumen for capturing, editing, and producing impactful creative that engages the customer.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and execute across all initiatives and platforms including but not limited to: print & digital advertising, emails, social media, website design, theatre signage, packaging, OOH and company-wide collateral.
• Carry out Visual Design Strategy through Cinemark’s current & future brand identity, and execute best-in-class creative for our brands across multiple media platforms and editorial formats.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and clients to produce sound solutions
• Be a trustworthy and reliable teammate.

• Create impactful and smart designs that communicate clearly to the consumer and put the guest first in all design decisions.

• Be fast on your feet, thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations to produce amazing work that is consistently on-brand.
• Provide insight to new technology and design trends.
• Create and manage all-sized projects and prioritize multiple requests at any given time. Strive to hit all deadlines if not beat them.
• Provide strategic creative recommendations for clients; offer new ideas, concepts, and designs to continuously drive new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships, effectively communicating with other designers, CD, Copy Director, VP and project managers.
• Be able to present/sell your work while clearly addressing the creative strategy around the ‘why’.
• Own your work from start to finish as a steward of the Cinemark brand.

• Direct on-set photography and handle post-production work as needed.

• Contribute in all stages of creative process: from concept, through production, to delivery of final files.
• Bring new and exciting ideas to the table to elevate and expand our brand.

• Ideate with little assistance and iterate on your work based on feedback from creative leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Mid-level Art Director with 3+ years professional design experience.
• BS/BA in graphic design or related field. Not required, but preferred. Your experience and portfolio are what we’re most focused on.
• Excellent knowledge of digital and print design, email marketing, print production, file formats, light animation and overall design best practices.
• Extreme proficiency in mac-based Adobe Creative Suite. Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign primarily—After Effects knowledge is a plus.
• You enjoy being part of a team and are happy and willing to work in a collaborative environment.
• Amazing portfolio that showcases a love of design across all platforms.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Sharp eye for detail and quality—type, color and composition is your forte.
• Experience on an in-house Creative Team is a must.
• Experience working with Brand Guidelines, Creative Briefs and external agencies.
• Experience working on photoshoots including involvement with still photography and retouching direction.
