Citizens Corporate Strategy team sets the strategic direction for the bank and acts as a trusted advisor to our senior leadership including the CEO, CFO, and heads of the major divisions and functions. The team addresses high impact strategic issues across our portfolio of businesses and works with business leaders to develop and execute against strategic agendas. The team owns the strategic planning process and also oversees development and oversight of enterprise‐wide revenue and efficiency efforts through Project TOP (Tapping our Potential) and helps advance the innovation and ESG agendas across the bank.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manage projects and support business strategies: Work with businesses on the execution of strategies by coordinating and taking an active part in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives
Research and analyze market trends: Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to support business strategies and planning efforts
Perform financial analysis and forecasting: Collaborate with divisional finance teams and FP&A to develop and analyze strategic options and financial forecasts
Advance our innovation and ESG agendas: Support the execution of the innovation and ESG strategies including enterprise-wide innovation challenges and engaging with new ideas that will shape the future of banking
Develop and deliver presentations: Develop presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors; synthesize key findings of analyses and recommendations, raise and present key findings to team leaders
Provides an opportunity to understand the full breadth of Citizens retail and commercial banking businesses, as well as support functions (finance, risk, HR, technology)
Develop strong relationships across the firm including Citizens business units, marketing, finance, treasury, risk management, and customer analytics
Significant room for growth within the group and the role also provides an excellent training ground for other roles within Citizens or other consulting or management opportunities
3-5 years of work experience, recent graduate with strong internships will also be considered
Ability to think critically and communicate clearly (both oral and written)
Passionate, highly motivated, self-driven, and a strong orientation to making change
Good problem solving and analytical capabilities and the ability to lead projects across their lifecycle
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
Bachelor’s Degree required
Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
