Professional work in the technical services and materials management area of a public library including planning, organizing, implementing, and maintaining many aspects of library materials and services to the public including the inter-library loan program, ordering new materials, receiving, cataloging, and inventory controls.
This is a Full-time position and the primary work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; 40 hours per week. This position is assigned to the Central Ridge Library location.
Pay Rate Disclosure: The pay rate for this position is $16.36 per hour plus benefit and retirement options. Pay Grade: 109

Essential Functions
Performs all inter-library loan tasks including lending, borrowing, invoicing, and administration of inter-library loan online system with current library Integrated Library System (ILS)
Works with library staff to resolve interlibrary loan functionality issues and improve efficiency through better utilization of system tools and work flow processes
Assures appropriate and effective utilization of inter-library loan reporting capabilities
Participates in work on collection development, including evaluation and selection of library materials and managing patron suggestions
Responsible for the processing of donations and repair of materials
Coordinates collection inventory and performs weeding of library materials for all branch locations
Performs ordering and receiving of new library materials as directed
Responsible for copy cataloging and database clean-up for ILS
Performs processing and labeling of materials as needed
Organizes, prepares, and tracks items for shipment
Processes and receives postal mail and other receivables
Acts as a back-up for the library courier as needed
Performs related duties as required
Minimum Requirements
Education, Training, and Experience
Two years of college or equivalent related specialized training.
Minimum one-year experience working in library circulation or comparable field, customer service area, or other technical support capacity.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration, Skills
Valid Florida Driver License.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products and computer hardware, and peripherals.
Strong communication skills to effectively work with library staff and organizational partners
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to maintain courteous and effective relations with County staff and the general public.
Must be physically able to perform necessary manual tasks such as bending and stooping to replace materials on shelves, reaching, lifting approximately 20 lbs. on occasion, pulling and carrying objects less than 50 lbs. to complete many tasks.
Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses:
IS-100.c: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS); and
IS-700.b: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System

Summary of Benefits:
