The Opportunity
The Energy & Environmental Services Department is seeking an Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Energy & Environmental Services Department Manager, as the Administrative Assistant, you will provide admin support to the Energy & Environment team and other departments within the Infrastructure & Economic Development Service Area. Your skills range from energy acumen to strength in finance and expertise in Red Binder maintenance.
Responsibilities
This role is varied and busy. The work of this admin support position crosses the Infrastructure & Economic Development Service Area. Your challenge will be to work within other work units processes and adapt accordingly. The primary role includes the following tasks:
You Bring
As a successful candidate, your skillsets for this position are wide-ranging to complete the work required. You will have an Office Administrative Certificate. You bring the ability to adapt to ever-changing conditions and work remotely. You have experience working in Teams and are comfortable asking questions. An understanding of energy and the utility system is a necessity. As a successful applicant, you have a minimum of four years of municipal experience. Experience with the following platforms are required:
This position falls within the provincial public health order that requires work from home. As a successful applicant you will have a designated ergonomic work space that accommodates two monitors, a laptop, keyboard, mouse and headset.
Location:
This position is assigned to the Service Centre, however, it currently falls within the work from home order. As the successful applicant you will have a designated ergonomic space that accommodates two monitors, a laptop, keyboard and mouse.

$29.10 – $30.64

Hours*
Hours are 8:30 – 4:30 Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening hours to support the work of the department
35 hours Monday- Friday
