Our Electric Construction group is hiring a Journey or Master Electrician to join our team as a Service Line Electrician. In this position, you will support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electric distribution service lines. This team is largely responsible for responding to service requests tied to dropping overhead and underground secondary electrical systems so that work can be performed safely and reestablishing service lines.
Our team enjoys having three days off a week due to our ability to work four (4) ten-hour days (subject to change if business needs demand). Starting pay rate for a Service Line Tech is $39.24/hr . Once the selected candidate has successfully completed probation (typically 6 months) the rate of pay will be adjusted to $ 41.20/hr.
What you’ll be doing…
Laying pipe, pulling wire, and setting meters
Constructing, maintaining, and testing secondary electrical systems and related equipment
Repairing, maintaining, removing, and troubleshooting street light systems, poles, luminaries, circuits
Working with various voltages up to 480v in the residential, commercial, arterial, and freeway street lighting systems
Switching or rerouting secondary electrical systems using proper sequencing and connections
Metering underground pedestal hook-ups, disconnecting and reconnecting services in pad-mounted transformers and j-boxes
Removal of and troubleshooting secondary electrical systems with testing equipment and aerial equipment
Operating line construction vehicles and equipment including wire-pullers, bucket and boom trucks, and various hand tools
Climbing poles and ladders, hooking up services and street light feeds
Who you are…
Qualified applicants must be a Journey or Master Electrician to qualify for this position
A valid driver’s license is required
A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain within 6 months of hire
Must be willing and able to climb poles
