As a Senior Functional Analyst supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work on the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Claims Processing System and support the quarterly updates to the system software.
As a Functional Analyst you will be providing analysis and writing of functional specifications for change requests. Reviewing and approving testing results. Identifying issues related to a variety of non-technical and technical project deliverable(s); as it relates to requirements, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation. Provide leadership and guidance to the team and peers.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for change requests.
Develops new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.
Writes and updates project documentation including functional specifications, testing scenarios, presentations, and training materials.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
Consults with users and the team to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
Conducts functional testing of various projects or systems.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5+ years of experience as a Business Functional Analyst.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Agile or Agile like environments is a plus.
Experience with CMMI guidelines.
