Responsibilities
The Director, Health Services uses clinical knowledge, communication and independent critical thinking skills towards interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. The Director, Health Services will:
Interact with and engage provider groups to improve communications and workflows, monitor performance, and drive results.
Provide input into functions strategy.
Develop and manage programs that reach measurable qualitative and financial metrics.
Recruit and develop talent, facilitating good team and succession planning.
Participate in an integrated fashion with other areas of Clinical activity.
Maintain strong, working relationship with internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN)
5 plus years prior work experience in the health solutions industry
5 plus years leadership/management experience
Must be willing to travel for provider facing and corporate meetings as conditions require/permit
Demonstrates a high degree of organizational skill and time management for multiple competing priorities
Demonstrates an ability to quickly adapt and manage through a changing environment
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence and ability to develop rapport
Demonstrates the ability to manage a large work force and effectively navigate change
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate must reside in the East Central region
Prior managed care and/or health plan experience
Provider engagement experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration or related field
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be skilled in the use of various standard technology platforms and virtual meetings
Demonstrates a high level of sophistication with data and information analytics
