Duties and Responsibilities
Assist process improvements through the reinforcement and execution of revised processes.
Create continuous improvement methodologies that drive change into the team.
Assist with planning, preparing for, and effectively facilitating triage meetings and presentations.
Demonstrate and build key relationships to foster collaboration across cross lines of business.
Collaborate and partner with cross line of business to understand change impact to branches.
Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Special Processing life of loan processes
Operational management and control of the daily workflow within the Special Processing Team
Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning
Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and signed off including client service inquiry resolution, cash and stock break, event management, as well as all key metrics are produced as required
Provide direction and leadership to the team
Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization
Continued review of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with introduction of new policies and ongoing risk management activities
Contribute to the strategic development of Special Processing teams
Develop strategies to bring in new processes that display the skill set of the teams and demonstrates tenure and document knowledge
Participates in the development of goals and execution of strategies within a function or department
Leads/ coordinates aligned or directly managed resources
Responsible for decisions that are guided by policies or established practices and that generally will have limited impact on company revenues/assets
In an individual contributor role, functions as a lead contributor with advanced knowledge of area of specialization and significant exposure to broad department activities
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required.
Exercises good judgment/initiative, problem solving/resolution
Excellent customer service to all internal and external clients.
Display leadership courage with indirect influence where needed
Manage sensitive and confidential information
Ability to work well in a cohesive team setting and independently
Ability to work well with a geographically dispersed team where much of the communication is via e-mail and telephone
Attention to detail is critical
Strong computer and Microsoft Office (excel, powerpoint) skills
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Operational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Transfers, Vendor Support, Customer Experience, Risk and Control, and Custody
Executive deck presentations; specifically telling the story to all levels within the organization; summarizing up front, setting expectations and delivering .
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, PitchPro and Outlook
Strong people management skills, ability to lead and motivate managers
Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes
Strong risk and control awareness, ability to effectively priorities workloads and work to critical deadlines
Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff
Strategic thinker, able to review and implement process improvements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred
