Kamengo is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our business development team. Having a technical background is an asset but not required. However having experience selling technical products to a technical audience is highly valued.
Who is Kamengo?
Kamengo is a company of engineers that has operated since 1990. Kamengo works in the field of bulk solids handling, which means that we design equipment for storing and handling large quantities of materials like gypsum, limestone, wood waste, ore concentrates and de-watered tailings. Kamengo uses a science-based approach combined with a proprietary feeder to design storage and feed equipment capable of reliably handling difficult flowing bulk solids. We have delivered equipment serving the renewable energy, mining, cement and wall board industries.
How We Sell
Our business development team engages directly with engineers and end-users. But we don’t start conversations by presenting a line card of equipment. Instead we start conversations by teaching – in plain-English – the basics of the science that underlies good equipment design. When our prospective clients understand the science of good equipment design, they understand why they need to work with Kamengo.
The Opportunity
Kamengo is seeking a Sales Manager who will lead the company’s efforts to generate opportunities from engineering houses and end-users throughout North America, including growing and training our sales team. The Sales Manager will be charged with developing relationships with our major clients, assisting with contract negotiations and reviews, supporting client relations post-delivery, managing the company’s pipeline of opportunities, and managing the company’s sales staff, including network of sales agents. The Sales Manager will also work with company leadership to craft a business development strategy.

To be successful in this role, first and foremost, you will need to be comfortable selling a technical product to a technical audience. You must enjoy being around people, enjoy teaching, enjoy presenting to a technical audience, and be ready to hold people accountable.
