Your Role:
Based out of our Hamilton depot, you will be responsible for ensuring effective, reliable and efficient operations of all signalling assets. You will learn how to carry out maintenance, installation, restoration and repair to KiwiRail quality and engineering standards. This role involves on the job training with opportunity to study to further your career. You will be working in an environment where using initiative and problem solving is celebrated.
Your Skills:
We are looking for people who have a mechanical aptitude, are willing to learn and who want to develop a long-term career. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to follow safety guidelines whilst being results driven in a team environment. You will also be a strong communicator both verbally and written to ensure accurate information. This is a great development opportunity where you will receive excellent on the job training alongside our current Signals team who are keen to pass on their skills and knowledge.
As a person, you will be reliable, enthusiastic and have a strong commitment to Health & Safety. If you are passionate about a career in rail and have the willingness to be part of a callout roster to attend to emergency failures after hours with the ability to work rostered shifts as required outside in all weather, then we would like to hear from you.
