Position Overview
The OpEx Project Manager is responsible for executing Operational Excellence plans primarily for the Portsmouth operations site. This position will develop and deploy lean management systems to achieve overall site objectives, including building capability through training and mentor programs. The incumbent will provide expert advice in the following areas: Project Management, Problem Solving, Six Sigma, Lean Management Systems, Value Stream, Visual Management, Strategy Deployment, and Leader Standard Work.
Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The incumbent will proactively work with functional Leadership to develop and implement actions that improve the capability of people and processes within the organization.
