Job Summary:
This position starts out at $17.70 and up, depending on experience.
JOB SUMMARY
Collect, prepare, test and analyze samples in order to determine gradation and characteristics, using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct testing of Company’s products from various locations according to pre-set procedures.
Ensuring tests conform to State and/or ASTM standards.
Must be able to work varied hours.
Must be able to conduct limited travel.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
Ability to multitask.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Certain job tasks may require you to wear a half mask respirator in which you will need to meet the osha guidelines based on 1910.134(g)(1)(i).
Typical hours during Production season are M-F 5am-3pm. Occasional Saturdays. Typical hours during Maintenance season are 7am-3pm. Rarely any Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
AAS degree in civil engineering desirable, or
A combination of post-secondary education and experience, or
High School education.
Valid driver’s license is required.
SDDOT Aggregate Test Technician certification desirable.
Ability and willingness to pass ACI Level I Certification
Limited travel may be necessary.
