We have an opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join a nationwide government organization. The preferred Project Manager will have significant experience managing technical programs (ideally Cybersecurity) which cover 12 or more projects/functions in a large IT enterprise.
This job is only temporarily remote due to the pandemic but expected to return to onsite reporting at the discretion of the customer. The ideal candidate will live in or near the Morrisville, NC area.
What You’ll Do
Plan and input to management work for multiple teams
Drive weekly sprints; define quarterly/annual goals
Define and develop metrics to measure key indicators including value, efficiency and effectiveness
Track and report on the efforts of project teams or technology functions
Transition projects/services into on-going operational modes
Make recommendations of staffing and quality improvement initiatives
Develop and present program status / metrics to senior management
Identify roadblocks and propose effective solutions
Run reports from Incident / Change / Problem system (ServiceNow)
Requirements
Education + Experience
BA/BS or MS in computer science, information security, or a related field or equivalent experience
10+ years experience with technical program management
Experience transitioning projects/services into on-going operational modes
Ability to manage Organization Resilience across CISO.
Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
Familiarity with Resilience Management Model (RMM)
Experience with managing crisis situations, including gaining commitment from and coordinating the response activities of cross–functional response teams
Experience with security operations and enterprise risk management and Profit and Loss (P&L) management and portfolio–level management
Knowledge of federal, state, local, and international legislation and regulatory guidance for Cybersecurity and data protection
Security Clearance Requirements
Certifications
PMP Project Management Professional is required
Or similar: GSLC: GIAC Security Leadership Certification; GCPM: GIAC Certified Project Manager Certification; CMMI Associate, CMMI Professional
Preferred Skills and Experience
Previous experience with CERT-RMM, CMMI, NIST Risk Framework, and/or CISA CDM
Technical background and experience with boundary and end-point protection services such as Intrusion prevention (network and host based), Firewalls, Anti-virus, email security, and Web application security
Knowledge of security technologies, including leading teams that maintain compliance for a regulated business environment
Strong in-person interaction skills.
Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
