Summer Intern – Customer Relations

Are you a pro-active, motivated and enthusiastic student looking for work experience in the summer holidays? We have summer/holiday work (Nov-Feb) for a student who is currently studying towards their future and has an interest in the electricity industry.

We are specifically looking for a student to assist the Electricity Customer Relations team with various projects and activities which may include analysing data from Powerco’s remote area power supply to ascertain pricing assumptions, sustainability calculations, maintenance requirements, usage and more.

The student we are looking for will:

• Ideally be studying a STEM subject
• Be familiar with data manipulation and methods of modelling
• Have solid analytical skills
• Have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• Possess effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Be self-motivated regardless of the task
• Enjoy working as part of a team but able to work autonomously

We are particularly interested to hear from students with links to New Plymouth.
