The University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine Greenville is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Manager of Academic Affairs & Clinical Education.
Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Curriculum, the Manager oversees and manages clinical curricular coordination, strategic operations and direction, implementation of strategic initiatives and project management of the Office of Academic Affairs.
The Manager plans, manages and directs the development and implementation of clinical education at the School of Medicine Greenville within the Upstate affiliate of the Prisma Health system clinical learning environment. The Manager Oversees 8 Clerkship Coordinators in the clinical departments, and two Senior Coordinators (M3 and M4), directing and managing the delivery of the core educational experiences of the medical education curriculum in the clerkship years M3/M4. Serving in junction with assessment and the registrar, this individual provides guidance, oversight and ensures compliance with LCME requirements in M3/M4 curricular programming.
The manager serves as a resource to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Dean for Curriculum, and the Director for Clerkship and Post-Clerkship Curriculum. The manager works directly with the Clerkship Directors, Office of Student Affairs, USCSOMG Registrar, faculty, physicians, medical students, staff, institutional and administrative offices, AAMC , VSAS , NBME , LCME representatives and other similar agencies.
The Manager ensures that all policies and procedures are followed and ensures compliance with all USCSOMG requirements as well as LCME requirements for the 3rd and 4th year medical student education while directing, organizing, maintaining and coordinating medical student rotations. Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree in education or related field and 4 years experience in curriculum management or development, or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience.
