JOB REQUIREMENTS: RN – Inpatient – Hematology, Oncology, and BMT B6/6 60% FTE, Evening University Hospital – 11982 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Registered Nurse: * Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses that use compassion and teamwork to care for their inspiring patients. * B6/6 is a 39-bed unit with nurse driven collaboration providing care to acutely ill patients varying in age and diagnosis, including end of life care. * Nurses are able to connect and form therapeutic relationships with patients. * You’ll be actively involved in cutting edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. * Nurses are encouraged and supported to participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change. * Participate in a teaching and learning culture: always seeking out the “why” to understand both problems and solutions. Work Schedule: 60% FTE, 24 hours per week. Evening shifts between the hours of 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Work Experience: * Minimum – One (1) year relevant clinical experience. * Preferred – Recent Oncology experience. Licenses and Certifications: * Minimum – Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification * Preferred – Chemotherapy certification. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: * Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area. * Experience in teaching patients and families. * Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members. * Based on unit needs, additional knowledge, skills and abilities may be required or preferred.
