We are looking for a steward/dishwasher at a hotel. The steward is a vital member of the culinary team. The steward operates the dishwasher to properly clean all dishes and cooking utensils used in the kitchen, restaurant and banquets. The steward also scrubs pots and other cookware, and re-stocks all supplies in the assigned areas. General kitchen cleaning duties include the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors and trash removal.

Responsibilities of the Steward/Dishwasher

• Operates commercial dishwasher
• Clean all dishes and utensils
• Clean cookware and restock all supplies
• Clean and mop floors Skills of the Steward/Dishwasher
• Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
• Must be able to operate dishwasher, floor stripper, and buffer safely and effectively
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and perform duties within extreme temperatures
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand is required in order to load and unload the dishwasher, as well as handle all sorts of kitchen equipment, knives, slicing blades, etc.
• Some work experience in related field preferred. Some hospitality experience preferred

Pay: $11.00 – $33.26 per hour

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Tampa, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
