Access Staffing LLC Hiring for Animal Care Tech at New York, NY Full Time

Hospital looking for an experienced Animal Care Tech to join its Team on a Temporary to Possible Permanent basis.

Hours: Mon-Fri; 8am-4pm (flexibility for OT if needed)

Duration: Full-time (37.5-hrs weekly); Three to Six (3-6) Months with possibility to go Permanent

Qualifications and Skills

· High School Diploma or GED

· One (1) year of relevant experience

· Able to lift and carry 55 lbs

· Able to climb and work from ladders and platforms

· Must understand the basics of animal health and disease, and the procedures required to clean/sterilize caging

· Familiarity with the use and operation of equipment required for laboratory animal housing and care

Responsibilities and Duties

· Process unclean caging and equipment in preparation for sanitization

· Assemble caging for use by other Animal Care Technicians

· Operate and maintain automated cage wash equipment and sterilizers

· Prepare acidified water bottles using an automated bottle filler and proportioner

· Receive, transport, process, store and label animal feed and bedding

· Disassemble, wash, and reassemble ventilated Thoren units

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $21.00 – $22.50 per hour
