Accounts Assistant- Taxation Full Time

Our  Practice specializes in  providing  full accounting, bookkeeping and Tax compliance  services for all types of business. We are a reputable accounting and tax agent firm with  a friendly working  environment.

This role based in Albany and for an immediate start in Mid of July 2024. This role will be for approximately 25 to 35 hours per week, hours and days can be flexible and additional hours may be required from time to time. This contract role may become a permanent role later.

Salary will be discussed based on qualification and  experience during the interview.

Qualification & Experience:

• NZ based accountancy diploma or degree
• Xero Certification
• 3 to 4 years of New Zealand experience in an Accounting & Tax Practice.
• Good knowledge  of NZ accounting and tax compliance.
• Excellence in XERO accounting software
• Microsoft office & Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Preparing GST returns and filing.
• Preparing Annual Tax Returns (sole trader, companies, rentals ,Trust) independently  for the  Senior accountant to review is the requirement for this position.
• Preparation of Financial Report and Payroll processing when needed.
