Accounts Receivable Officer Full Time

The Opportunity:

The company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to manage the accounts receivable and credit functions of the company.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be an essential member of the finance and operations team.  You will be responsible for managing and optimising our accounts receivable processes and carrying out various administrative tasks to support the smooth operations of the company. 

Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring the on time collection of monies from customers including overdues and retention releases.
• Allocating payments per customers remittance.  
• Maintaining effective communication with customers.
• Customer credit applications and setting up new accounts.
• Maintenance of customer credit limits including Equifax reports, PPSR’s, managing and releasing customers on credit stop and default processes.
• Working with the customer service and operations teams to action customer queries.  
• Daily bank reconciliations including coding of expense transactions to the general ledger.
• Monthly customer statements.
• Allocation of customer rebates.
• Recording debtor actions in system notes.
• Preparation of customer credits and processing credit card and cash payments.
• Various support tasks including but not limited to RMA’s, restocking fees and administrative support to our operations team..

To be successful in this role you will require the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar standalone Accounts Receivable role.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to problem solve and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work autonomously and independently.
