ACHEV Hiring For Facilitator, REACH ECE at Mississauga, ON Full Time

PROGRAM
Ready English Accessible for Caregivers at Home (REACH) is a Service Delivery Improvement project funded by IRCC to develop and pilot a flexible, online language training model targeted to newcomer women caring for children at home. MOSAIC of BC is lead in this project and Achev is assisting in the development of the curriculum, utilizing our experience in ECE to support development of the childcare portion of the project and administer and staff the pilot cohorts within the Ontario region. The ECE Facilitator will provide their ECE expertise on level appropriate, age appropriate best practices for content for the REACH project, community resources, and delivery of this content in Saturday morning Zoom Family Learning sessions. The work may be completed outside of regular business hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate weekly group information sessions via Zoom (Family Learning Sessions) for REACH participants on Early Childhood Development, parenting in Canada and related community services, as outlined in the REACH curriculum. Availability for 1 hour on Saturday mornings is a requirement.
• Prepare and present ECE activities for the online sessions.
• Arrange speakers from community service providers to explain their services at Family Learning Sessions, with consultation with manager.
• Facilitate and support parent use of online ECE activities.
• Implement and utilize REACH curriculum resources and provide feedback to REACH team.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports.
• Attend project meetings as required.

POSITION FUNCTION

• Hours: Casual – 3-5 hours per week
• Saturday AM shift – Zoom Family Learning session.
• Contract: October 3rd, 2022 to June 30th , 2023
