About the role

Achieving for Children uses the hybrid model of working for most of its staff which includes Business Support, with an expectation that staff operate a mix of working from home as well as being office based across the AfC offices in Kingston and Twickenham. Staff are currently being asked to work two office based days and three days working from home, but this may be varied, depending on Service need and provision. You will be working closely with other EHCP Coordinator Assistants as a team offering support to the Coordinator Officers, so it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure that you are able to meet the statutory deadlines of the service.

The Coordinator Assistant contributes to the development of the SEND Service by: managing own performance, supporting and working with EHCP Coordinators, managing databases, supporting project work, managing a caseload and meeting statutory deadlines. As a Coordinator Assistant you are the first point of contact for families and professionals and would be expected to answer calls, manage inboxes and maintain strong working relationships.

We expect every Coordinator Assistant to possess strong admin and technology experience to undertake a range of functions which will in turn improve the delivery of the SEND Service.
