Job Summary:

This Accessioner I is responsible for the receiving and processing laboratory specimens and requisitions ensuring accuracy of information processed.

During peak demand, you will work on special projects. These projects will be in performing Missing Information tasks/investigations, assisting with the Revenue Cycle management (RCM) process and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow and adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program along with all HIPAA guidelines.

• You are responsible for the receiving and processing of laboratory specimens and requisitions. You will enter requisitions data into the online database and label the specimens.

• Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted

• You will act in the best interest of patient care and Gravity Diagnostics.

• Serves as a liaison between Gravity Diagnostics and its customers in response to inquiries and problems.

• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer problems. Performs a wide variety of administrative/clerical duties.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required.

• Have a good understanding of accessioning and laboratory workflow

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable working in a protective laboratory setting

• Ability to work with co-workers, clients, and hospital staff effectively

• Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, high volume ever-changing environment

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
