Description:
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will establish and maintain optimal utilization of our operations facilities, manufacturing production processes, equipment and systems. You will develop, determine, standardize, and document innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems and issues encountered in the company’s manufacturing processes. Successful candidates will be capable of working closely with others to drive analysis of existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of our products.
Job Duties:
• Design processes and equipment for manufacturing, monitor equipment through regular testing, and provide strategic oversight of the processes being deployed
• Developing, configuring, and optimizing end-to-end industrial processes
• Running risk assessments of equipment and processes being used
• Collecting data, writing reports, and presenting findings to management
• Responsible for asset maintenance and reliability
• Accountable for measuring and mitigating operational losses (OEE)
• Inspect product being produced and packaged, utilizing the appropriate measuring devices to ensure items meets specifications
• Review and analyze production functions, submitting suggestions to improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost
• Provide programming assistance on various machines and may train employees to perform the same
• Review cost savings or any type of other suggestion submitted by employees pertaining to the production process; Participates in investigating and responding to the same
• Act as a liaison between laboratory and production; Coordinating production abilities with product specifications and packaging requirements
• Collaborate with production management to provide practical training for the production process
• Play an active role on in sourcing projects that may include modifying or upgrading processes for items to be made in house
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, chemical or industrial engineering
• Ability to read, understand, and create P&IDs
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or as part as a cross functional team
• Working knowledge of fluid dynamics and chemical material compatibility
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in ACAD, Inventor, preferred
• Required to be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
