Description:

No relevant experience is required

Previous medical or production experience is preferred

Proficient computer and typing skills; needs to type 35 WPM or higher

Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples; MUST be comfortable working with COVID samples

Prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing

Unpacks specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas

Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separate serum, and blood smears

May perform data entry of test requisition information

Aliquots sample for departments

Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens

High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Follow HIPAA and SOPs
