Actalent Hiring for Sr. Project Manager at Durham, North Carolina Full Time

Our client is seeking a Sr. Technical Project Manager to lead the client implementation of a complex predictive Internet of Things solution. The Sr. Technical Project Manager will lead the integration and support of the device agnostic system management product. The Technical Project Manager role provides business consultation and is responsible for the successful implementation of project plans, lessons learned analysis to enhance projects plans, and in depth research of software defects.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver scalable information technology solutions that will run 75% of the world’s retailers.

• Work effectively with developers, clients and business partners to define business and technical requirements.

• Translate business requirements into a functional and technical implementation and propose solutions that create business value.

• Manage customer requirements and expectations effectively.

• Effectively collaborate with sales, software & services principals, and solution design & delivery teams to drive actions to win new business successfully.

• Work together to deliver customer presentations and solution demonstration, RFPs/RFIs response preparation, defining the application and technical architecture structure to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field

• Ability to drive multiple project workstreams and teams on time and on budget.

• 8+ years providing insights to data using Excel.

• 8+ years building and supporting enterprise-level applications, ideally in Retail industry

• 5+ years with a proven track record in managing client facing projects.

• Subject matter expert Agile and Waterfall Project Methodology and tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, VersionOne, etc.

• Significant Experience with Java development, Database architecture, and System Integration.

• Ability to lead solutions that cross internal business teams and external 3rd party vendors.

• Exceptional business acumen and authentic personality.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
