Actalent is hiring an Avionics Model Based Systems Engineer for a large Aerospace/DoD company located in Owego, NY. This is a hybrid role. Job Duties:

• Actalent is looking for Systems Engineers to join our team. The Systems Engineers will be supporting systems design and integration activities for various avionics platforms.

• Activities and responsibilities will include interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, supporting requirements definition and decomposition, developing requirement specifications for avionics systems onto aircraft platforms.

• As a Systems Engineer, the candidate must be able to work on a small team of engineers.

• Will be responsible for developing cockpit systems for avionics platforms.

• This will include assisting with the development of avionics architectures based on our hardware and software product lines and integrating mission system functionality for cockpit controls and displays.

• Will be utilizing digital transformation principles, including system modelling and simulation.

• Program is utilizing agile development processes for defining requirements and developing system capabilities.

• The standards that we should reference for potential staff are DO-178, DO-254, MIL STD1472 and MIL STD3009.

Qualifications:

• Mission Systems Development for (Avionics, EW, Radar, or COMMS)

• Experience with Modeling/Model Based Systems Engineering (Rhapsody/Cameo)

• Requirements utilizing DOORS

• Experience working with avionics displays and cockpits
