Ada Developers Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free coding school for women and gender expansive adults. We focus on serving Black, Latine, Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities, low income people, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our program consists of two highly immersive parts: six months of focused instruction, and five months of internship at partner companies, where students refine their skills working on real-world code.
About this position
The Executive Assistant (EA), Equity & Policy will provide critical support through a high-growth period at Ada. A great candidate will be organized, thoughtful, fast-paced, thorough, and a great communicator. This person will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with our VP of Equity & Policy and Equity & Policy team members to ensure we are working effectively and efficiently. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a base annual salary range of $75,600 – $85,000 (DOE) and excellent benefits.
For eligible positions, hybrid and remote work schedules are made available to workers working within certain jurisdictions (currently limited to the states of Washington, Virginia, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas).
Core responsibilities
Proactively manage the VP of Equity & Policy’s calendar and meeting schedule to accommodate shifting priorities
Prepare materials for meetings and take meeting notes using the Google Suite
Organize and structure VP’s email inbox to remove clutter and help prioritize communications
Submit expense reimbursements on a regular basis to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Maintain an organized shared Google Drive electronic filing system for the Equity & Policy Team
Assist in the calendaring and scheduling of Equity events
Provide triage for email inbox for the Equity & Policy group
Essential qualifications
3+ years of experience supporting senior level executives
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Exceptional and empathetic written and verbal communications skills; ability to thoughtfully craft communications to reflect the audience and Ada’s values
Demonstrable integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adapt to change and operate in a growth stage company
Demonstrated embodiment of Ada’s values in a professional environment
