Dental Insurance Billing from HOME!

We are looking for an experienced dental biller. Must be proficient in Dentrix Ascend and/or Dentrix, Curve, any other software experience is a plus,in at least Dentrix Ascend, please do not apply at this time. Must have proficiency in posting insurance payments, Bulk Insurance posting, posting by line item with mulitple providers on claim, properly adjusting accounts both credit and debit, EOB comprehension, accounts receivable cleanup, claims submission, narratives, and attachments, and a high focus on attention to detail would also be an aspect of the position. Ability to use e-attachment programs, access and navigate insurance website portals, fill out daily detailed reports for clients, and available to work and respond within 24 business hours regarding client communications. Examining patient balances and sending e-statements as well as contacting patients with past due balances may required at a later date. Competitive pay and work from anywhere! Must follow HIPAA procedures and undergo paid training. This is a part time position with the opportunity for full time in the future. Flexible hours – approximately 10-25 hours per week to start, job does require the need for some day time availability for insurance follow up, training and meetings. Prefer someone who is already established to work from home.

Qualifications:

• Dental Billing Experience is a must. (do not apply if you don’t have any)
• Dentrix Ascend expertise required and Dentrix and Curve experience is the next software we have a need for.
• Skilled at using the CDT/ADA dental coding.
• Must have some day time hours available for Insurance Calls, meetings, trainings..
• Knowledge of NEA fast attach/Simple attach is a plus, but not required. (willing to train the right candidate)
• Ability to navigate through insurance portals to locate member EOB’s and eligibility
• Self motivated person, with ability of time management
• Ability to understand protocols, put them in place and follow them
• Team player mentality to work with other practice business staff.
• Communication skills are crucial!
• High speed Internet and a PC/Mac with a current operating system
• Tech-savvy and well versed in multiple practice management systems
• Clinical background and/or strong dental knowledge
• Strong work ethic and can work independently/meet goals without supervision
• Impactful communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail is very important
• Must be able to and have necessary tools and equipment to work from home such as a computer, high speed internet, printer/scanner, and phone.

Responsibilities include:

• Send insurance claims daily with all required documentation properly attached.
• Post insurance payments according to EOB/ERA’s.
• Apply necessary Debit or credit adjustments
• Research and appeal denied claims
• Audit patient accounts and be able to explain balances to patients.
• Complete daily reports detailing adjustments and underpayments
• Follow up & any necessary take action on all open claims over 30 days old in order to receive payment.’
• Research patient balances, send e-statements, contacting patients regarding balances.
