Qualifications and Key Skills
Duties and responsibilities:
- Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards
- Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use Monitor workers on shift during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
- Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards.
- Manages continuous inspections of product both visually, record product and process parameters.
- Aligns extrusion operating parameters to product specifications.
- Oversees the extrusion line and surrounding area clean and orderly and in compliance with 5-S and any lean initiatives.
- Performs work of an equal or lower classification as required.
- Ensure that work materials are present as at when needed.
- Analyses ingredients usage in the formula depend upon the required specification.
- Manages loader/packing staff and packing requirement.
- Facilitates encoding of the formulation according to scheduled (Requirements) and operate the batching system automation
- Collaborates with QA to get sampling in process.
- Designs and facilitates the new technician/operator to operate the machine base on Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)
- Any other reasonable management instruction Maintenance:
- Analyses issues to trouble shoot and improve all plant equipment to ensure efficient/ smooth operation.
- Facilitates compliance with NZ work safe standard.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
- Completion of Basic Equipment Care
Qualifications and Key Skills
- Previous experience/exposure working in a pet food/ food manufacturing facility
- Strong ability to motivate, lead and give directions to team members
- Strong experience with extrusion operation, maintaining and troubleshooting
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively with all members of the team from various backgrounds
- Excellent organizational skills and profound ability to schedule multiple activities and resources for efficient and effective utilization.
