About the Role

Requiring a contract Financial Reporting SME until the end of February, with a broad understanding of IFRS as you would be doing global reporting across the group. You would lead and Complete the Year End Financial Statement preparation for 4 Statutory Entities across NZ and Australia.

You would have work from home flexibility including flexibility with the hours.

Being a busy role, the team will be working 28-30 December.

Some of the tasks include:

• Provide Accounting advice and guidance on new and/or amended IFRS (NZ and Australian equivalents)
• Responsible for Communication and Implementation of changes cascaded from Global Reporting and Accounting across the wider NZ & Australian Business’
• Correctly complete the Balance Sheet Analysis for the Global Reporting and Accounting Team
• Lead the Annual Financial Statement completion, ensuring a timely and correct full suite of Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS
• Co-ordinate with external Auditors to ensure the Financial Statements are completed
• Correctly complete month end accruals and standing journals
• Reporting for 3 separate Business Units
• Interpretation and application of new and revised accounting standards to the business model
• Coordination of a broad range external advisors and internal stakeholders
• Broad understanding of IFRS and interpretations available to minimise impact on the company operationally of new and amended standards.
• Staying across potential risks to our Reporting Environment

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.
• ERP system knowledge, ideally SAP
• Experience with complex IFRS accounting, preferably Big 4 or CA firm
• Advanced Excel skills
• Good written and verbal communication
