Administration/Sales Assistant/Optical Dispenser Full Time

Hannaford Eyewear is located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW and we have a position available for a person with a keen interest in starting a career in the optical/ophthalmic industry. You will begin as a full time assistant and progress to a trainee. This is a full time position with on the job training while being a part-time student.

The ideal applicant will need to be highly motivated and focused on completing the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing within 24 months. https://www.tafensw.edu.au/course/-/c/c/HLT47815-01/Certificate-IV-in-Optical-Dispensing You will learn all areas of optical dispensing including administration, optics, lens production, creating and delivering solutions, instrumentation and problem solving. 

The position is ideal for recent school leavers seeking a long term career in a unique industry. Qualified optical dispensers and experienced applicants are also welcome to apply and would suit those in a nursing and vision science background.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lens fitting and repairs

• Dispensing lenses, frames, contact lenses and other eye wear

• Spectacle frame stylist

• Administration duties

• Cash handling
