Job Description
At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. We believe transport infrastructure creates opportunity and freedom for all whole society. Whether it’s improving your commute, increasing public transport services, providing low-carbon walking and cycling options, our work helps people and communities thrive. Working with our clients, we are fully committed to being part of the solution as our society transitions in response to the challenges we face. Rather than being reactive, our transportation team is forward-thinking – with future mobility at the centre of all that we do. As transport planners, we dream and imagine how people will travel in the future – what projects we deliver now will be used for years to come, and Sustainable Legacies are at the front and foremost of all our projects.
If you share our purpose to deliver a better world, and have an interest or expertise in transportation, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for people with a range of skills across transportation consulting: transport modelling, public transport planning and delivery, information technology, digitalisation, data analysis and visualisation, transport economics, public policy analysis, project management. We don’t expect to find all these skill sets in one person, and indeed know we are stronger, smarter and better when we bring together a multitude of voices, ensuring that every voice is heard and cultivating equitable opportunities for all. At AECOM, we know that when we feel free to be ourselves, we thrive. With diversity of perspective, there are better outcomes at a societal level.

Our clients include government bodies, transport agencies and operators, developers, as well as local authorities and international clients. We develop and use some of the most sophisticated techniques, encourage innovation and offer a comprehensive internal training programme to encourage professional and technical development.
You will be supported in this role by a team with international recognition in many areas of transport planning and economics. Across our team, we have expertise across all transport modes and you will have the opportunity to work on and gain experience across many different types of transport modes, including active travel, bus and rail.
