Bookkeeper & Office Assistant
Summary:
We are a small company doing work in Construction & Property Management. We’d like to find someone with high energy, highly organized, great Office skills, Accounting skills and knowledge to support us in a Bookkeeper role. Quickbooks and Accounting experience is a major plus.
Responsibilities:
● Review invoices for A/R & A/P, cut checks, enter date, file records
● Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, ensure legal compliance
● Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting transactions
● Maintains Records through paper & digital filing
● Prepares financial reports
● Scan, Fax & Copy Documents
● Communicates with Vendors and Clients
● Track payment history and work with customers on payment due dates, review & verify invoices before processing for payment
● Payroll: Enter & Verify Payroll hours for each employe and prepare paychecks
● Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliations
● Keep track for Property Tax Bill, Insurance payment, as well as subcontractor payments
● Obtain & Understand quotes from Insurance Companies: Auto, Property, Builder Risk, Workers Compensation, General Liability, etc
● Support with coworkers when coworkers are sick or out of the office
● Support office operations: Project Coordinator (Construction) & Property Manager (Apartments). This usually involves looking into contracts, payment history, ensuring all documents are filed, and taking payments.
● Perform other tasks requested by the owners
● Must be able to perform duties while sitting at a desk

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
● Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field- a plus
● Bookkeeper Certification- a plus
● Quickbooks Certification- a plus
● Previous Bookkeeping experience- preferred 1 year
