RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN OFFICE CLERK
1. Make travel arrangements for office personnel.
2. Type, format, proofread and edit correspondence and other documents, from notes or dictating machines, using computers or typewriters.
3. Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as computer hardware and software.
4. Train other staff members to perform work activities, such as using computer applications.
5. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers.
6. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
7. Collect, count, and disburse money, do basic bookkeeping and complete banking transactions.
8. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.
Qualifications for Office Clerk
Applicable knowledge of office devices and processes
In-depth knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles
Excellent organizational and time management
Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles
Strong knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting processes
Fast typist with excellent multitasking abilities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
