Behavior Intervention Specialist- Residential and Day Program
(The flexibility of the schedule allows the Behavior Intervention Specialist to tailor the hours worked around their individual needs and responsibilities within a 7 day work week)
$58,500-$62,500.
Most licensure/credentialing supervision provided, including BCBA,LBA,Ph.D,SW,LMHC,
Salary tier structure based on years of experience and credentials
35 hour position-Ability to structure own work schedule and hours each week

Collaborative and supportive clinical team that ensures shared responsibilities
Opportunity for clinical staff to provide enhanced trainings through the training department and new staff orientation
Opportunity for advancement within the Dept. when positions become vacant
** This position requires “On-Call” availability Requires traveling to multiple houses and day programs in Suffolk County
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
• At least 6 months of experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
In an impactful role, the Behavior Intervention Specialist will:
Utilize cognitive and behavioral approaches to teach skills and prosocial behavior through the implementation of Behavior support plans.
Observe behavioral responses, model evidence based behavioral interventions, and provide clinical input to team members.
Implement staff training to empower staff to support men and women with disabilities.
Participate as a clinical team member by leading and participating in inter-disciplinary team meetings to develop and ensure behavioral interventions are implemented with fidelity across settings.
Provide consultation, mentoring, and training.
