THE ROLE

As a National Technical Manager, reporting to the Head of Road Technology, you’ll play a crucial role in researching and identifying new technology to improve our company’s performance and competitive advantage. You will provide technical advice, problem-solving, and training for Managers and Project Managers, aiming to maximize returns on our clients projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify new technology to enhance the company’s performance and competitive advantage.
• Manage the successful implementation of identified opportunities.
• Provide technical advice, problem-solving, and training for Managers and Project Managers.
• Develop and implement the Group’s Product Development Plan.
• Liaise closely with our clients Testing Laboratory.
• Provide innovation leadership for the use of recycled materials in road construction and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical support for the business and incorporate peer support, especially in managing new technology and project development.

THE REQUIREMENTS

To shine in this capacity, you should meet the following criteria:

• Professional Engineer (MIPENZ).
• An enquiring mind and a desire to understand issues.
• Strong client and supplier relationship skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing in difficult circumstances.
• Full understanding of our client and Road Technology capabilities.
