Pay depends on experience, abilities, and references.iJob ResponsibilitiesUtilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal productsMeasure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squaresFasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will lastInstall assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, and furnace casings in supportive frameworksEnsure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systemsUse hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearanceSelect the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specificationsEnsure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal Job Skills and QualificationsReqiured:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift heavy materials and toolsExcellent trade math skillsBasic Hand ToolsPunctualityGood Attitude and desire to learn Preferred:1-4 years of sheet metal experienceOSHA 10 certificationKnowledge of building codesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawingsAbility to produce drawings for offsets and fittingsAbility to accurately produce redlines for job closeoutWe are a drug free employer and do require a pre-employment drug screen and perform periodic, random drug tests.
