Job Summary: We’re seeking a dedicated Full Stack Developer with at least three years of professional experience, a strong understanding of the MERN stack, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable code. This role involves developing a robust web-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline our business operations. The successful candidate will start by building UI’s to interact with our current system’s API, and eventually replace our current system with a RESTful API using NodeJS/Express/MongoDB. The ability to assist with other design and development functions will be encouraged and welcomed as we continually strive to be at the cutting edge of all that we do as a company.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small team to develop a web-based ERP system.
• Build UI’s to interact with our current system’s API.
• Replace our current system with a RESTful API using NodeJS/Express/MongoDB.
• Translate business and functional requirements into reliable web applications.
• Write automated tests for both front-end and back-end code.
• Display strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Shift gears smoothly between different tasks/projects.
• Write JavaScript scripts to fill gaps in the existing system.
• Deliver clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Adhere to software development best practices

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent knowledge/skills
• Proficiency in JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, HTML/CSS, SASS/SCSS
• Strong understanding of NodeJS, ExpressJS, MongoDB
• Experience with Bootstrap. Material Design Bootstrap React is a plus
• Version control with Git
• Proficiency in Jest for testing. TDD is a plus
• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Ability to present technical concepts, ideas, solutions, and data to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualities

• Passion for software development demonstrated through personal portfolio/projects is highly regarded.
• A strong self-starter who has taken initiative in independent learning, professional development, and mastery of new technologies.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work on site at our Massachusetts location.
