Description:
As a Driver I, you will transport a range of products including, but not limited to, mail, packages, medical supplies, equipment, food and linen, in accordance with AHS standards, regulations and policies. Working independently, you must adhere to scheduled routes, as well as ad hoc requests, in a safe and courteous manner. You will be expected to perform a series of routine duties such as logging mileage, cleaning vehicles, performing pre and post vehicle inspections and reporting defects and malfunctions to management.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s Licence. Completion of valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of Calgary and Southern Alberta. Knowledge of TDG in relation to transport of bio hazardous materials. TDG training will be provided by Alberta Public Laboratories. Knowledge of WHMIS. Training will be provided by Alberta Precision Laboratories.
