About The Role:

We are looking for a Junior Cloud Systems Engineer Networks to join our dynamic IT team. Reporting to the Cloud Services Manager, the Junior Cloud System Engineer Networks is responsible to help build, implement & manage hybrid networks including Cloud hosted systems (Azure & AWS) solutions and on premises, firewalls & WAN environment

The role will also help with the responsibility for running the day to day support of Alinta’s cloud Hybrid environment in Azure, Azure AD and AWS. The role will also help with the responsibility for operations support of systems hosted on Alinta’s IaaS and PaaS platforms including Microsoft Windows Servers while giving a network focus to this support.

Additional Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the Cloud and Hybrid operations align to Alinta Business and technology strategies as they evolve.
  
• Work closely within the Cloud Services Team to ensure that the implementation of new Cloud Services & On-premises networking successfully meets stakeholder expectations
• Maintain services cloud hosted environments as per the deployment roadmap
• Perform accurate time sheeting of Cloud Service and other Enterprise Technology Projects, in an effective and timely manner
• Strive to reinstate hybrid network services and mitigate any negative impact
• Ensure Cloud Service Operations are delivered in a self-managed automated manner

To be successful you will have:

• Technical training of Network technologies and architectures connecting to Azure and AWS environments
• 1 to 2 years knowledge of operating in various technical networking roles supporting IT systems also including, Azure AD, Firewalls, Windows Systems, Active Directory, Virtualized environments and security patching
• 1 to 2 years working in networking environments
• Strong relationship building skills, business acumen, a strong customer focus, analytical intelligence and innovative thinking.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills across all levels within IT
• Understanding of new networking support strategies, tools and monitoring

The Junior Cloud Network Engineer is an integral team member of the Cloud Services team with the responsibility to work as part of the cloud support and implementation team which will require some level of system engineer work in support of wintel and cloud environments, however a higher emphasis on the networking aspects of support and operations.
