PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision from the Reimbursement Program Manager, the Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting analytical, reimbursement, and other financial projects needs of the organization. This position requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare finance, focus on details, accuracy, and deadline driven. The Senior Analyst routinely supports business decisions and operational processes and frequently interacts with other cross functional teams.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Consistently provide oversight of various systems, processes, and reports. This includes identifying and providing solutions related to data integrity issues and reconciliation between accounting systems, claim systems, reporting systems and the data warehouse.
• Conducts financial and operational analyses involving a wide range of activities including but not limited to data extraction and generating reports.
• Reconciliation of data, evaluation of specific programs and projects. Identifying key points and communicating findings to support decision making.
• Understand and apply project management and system design techniques.
• Participate in preparation and implementation of new program/contract changes, including but not limited to setup general ledger account mappings, aid code grouping, invoice processing, and overpayment recoupments.
• Create journal entries for the accounting department.
• Document data flows and logic. Engage in departments cross-training efforts to improve knowledge base of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPandA) team.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Reimbursement Program Manager, and other Finance/AAH managers and executives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Consult with managers, IT, and other Alliance employees.
• Systematic review, problem solving, design, and implementation of financial data systems and reports.
• Data extraction, mining, and gathering from diverse systems.
• Write and execute SQL scripts to analyze data and to prepare reports.
• Run and maintain routine reports.
• Identify and follow up on potential data quality issues.
• Comply with the organizations Code of Conduct, all regulatory and contractual requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls.

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:

• B.S. in Business Administration, Healthcare, Finance, Information Technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
