Summer Camp Instructor – Part Time

AlphaBEST Education Summer Camp “Going Places!” – Longview, TX

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Locations: Hudson PEP Elementary – 1311 Lilly Street., Longview, TX 75602 and J.L. Everhart Elementary – 2919 Tryon Road, Longview, TX 75605

Camp Hours: 12:30 – 3:30 (Work hours 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm)

Camp Dates: June 8, 9, 13, 16, June 20-23, June 27-30, July 11-14, July 25-27

Our summer learning is designed to empower children through imagination and creativity, helping to connect them to the world around them. The Camp Instructor brings our curriculum to life! ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

• Prepare for and teach Going Places curriculum to groups of 15 -30 campers, following the curriculum as it is written
• Contribute to and participate in daily camp activities, including check-in and check-out, opening/closing ceremonies, and snack & lunch supervision, and programming
• Assist with daily set up and cleanup of camp
• Summer Instructors will report to the Camp Director and receive professional development and ongoing coaching
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by start of camp to ensure staff and campers are as safe and healthy as possible and to comply with enhanced health and safety protocols
• Training is required before the start of camp (paid at training rate)
