Alpine Macro Looking for Sales Associate at Montreal , Quebec Full Time

Alpine Macro, a leading global investment research firm located in Montreal, Canada is growing our sales team. We are looking for a Sales Associate (hunter role) to develop new business in major financial markets across the globe. This would be an excellent opportunity for recent finance/economics graduates or candidates that have experience in internal or external sales in the financial services industry. This full-time position is based in Montreal.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Source qualified prospects (CIOs, Strategists, Directors of Research, Portfolio Mangers and Analysts) at buy-side firms in a defined sales region. Arrange an evaluation of Alpine Macro’s independent research service and negotiate and close research access agreements. 

• Responsible for marketing, lead generation and managing the full sales cycle.

• Achieve sales targets and corporate objectives.

• Schedule client and prospect events and meetings with strategists (both virtually and in person) and travel domestically or abroad when required. 

• Handle prospect and client inquiries related to Alpine Macro’s research and strategy.

• Partner with account management team to grow exiting client relationships.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in sales, business development, marketing or customer service in a financial institution or relevant work environment. Keen interest and knowledge of global financial markets.

• Experience in cold-calling.

• Proactive personality with strong attention to detail. 

• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

• University Degree required.

• CRM applications (Salesforce experience is an asset).

• Excellent communication skills. Perfectly fluent spoken and written English. Other languages are an asset.
