The Team

The Amadeus Rail IT team is an R&D development team of 8 people based in MEL or SYD. We manage a rail booking system (namely the “Amadeus Rail IT platform”) used by our customer “Transport for New South Wales” for their regional trains.This system includes 3 web-based applications and 40 modules written in Java and C++. Our current main project is the migration of this platform to Microsoft Azure.

The Role

As a DevOps in our team, you will drive, execute, and advise on the migration of our Rail IT booking system to the cloud, as well as the build of our CI/CD pipeline.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive and execute the migration of our Rail IT booking system to the cloud – technical stack (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure).
• Advise on best practices around our cloud technical stack while adapting to our platform and company specificities.
• Build our cloud CI/CD pipeline.
• Support and grow our team with cloud DevOps knowledge.

About You

• University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.

• Experience working as a DevOps on CI/CD pipeline and cloud technology (Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure).

• Previous exposure to operational processes in a mission critical, high-availability, geographically distributed environment preferred.

• Must: Linux fundamentals, CI/CD pipeline, scripting, security, configuration management, cloud computing & migration, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.

• Nice-to-have: Microsoft Azure.

• Friendly and positive attitude.

• Clear communication, strong problem-solving skills, Agile values.
