Amadeus Hiring for R&D DevOps Engineer Job at Melbourne, Australia Full Time

Purpose of the role

The DevOps Engineer position requires knowledge and expertise in designing, building and troubleshooting hosting solutions for web-applications on traditional, cloud-based and container based infrastructures as well as configuring, optimising and troubleshooting testing and deployment automation for said applications as part of the CI/CD pipelines.

In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT, Operation and development teams during all phases of the application infrastructure development as well as the development of any automations and automation solutions, identifying infrastructure requirements and contributing to design decisions impacting the said infrastructures.

Main Responsibilities

DevSecOps adoption
1. Assist organzational DevSecOps culture adoption by performing a coordinator role between development, security, QA and operation teams
2. Continously discover automation opportunities in SDLC, as well as in routine infrastructure management

CICD pipeline management
1. Create, maintain and optimize pipelines to facilitate the development and release management
2. Solution and build cross-tenancy pipeline in order to deploy applications to various self-managed and customer owned environments.
3. Develop creative and customerized solution for special pipeline tasks
4. Integrate with Amadeus corporate CICD control process and tools

Melbourne Office Infrastructure Management
1. Overall governance of local office hardware/software/security/networks/assets/communications management.
2. Conduct system audits to assess ‘health’ of current IT systems – monitor and update requisite software licenses to ensure license compliance.
3. Preserve assets by implementing, testing and reviewing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
4. Ensure system availability by conducting proactive maintenance of internal IT Systems

Cloud infrastructure(AWS) management
1. Overall governance of cloud infrastructure includes security/networking/inventory/monitoring/backup/etc. management
2. Proactively monitor and maintain our PROD hosting tenancy for different customers, as well as our testing tenancy and central tenancy (AD, CICD pipeline servers)
3. Proactively measure, assess and optimize cloud infrastructure performance

Corporate IT integration support
1. Work with the auditors/assessor for ongoing compliance audits/assessments. Ensure IT Systems and Infrastructure meet Amadeus compliance requirements.
2. Support IT infrastructure integration, migration and transition

Experience Required

• Comfortable and enthusiastic with DevSecOps and Agile philosophies
• Experience in continuous integration and continuous develiery(deployment) implementation

• Strong skill in scripting and automating infrastructure relative tasks• Deep understanding of SDLC and product lifecycle, familar with popular software development technologies

• Broad knowledge of current infrastructure technologies
• Hands-on experience with implementing and configuring cloud-based infrastructure solutions, such as AWS and Azure
• Knowledge, passion and curiosity in scripting languages (e.g. python, powershell, shell)
• Experience with implementing and administering on-prem infrastructure
• Experience with virtualisation infrastructure such as VMWare, Hyper-V
• MCSE or strong fundamental knowledge of Windows server and related technologies including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, ADFS, PowerShell, etc
• Strong understanding of network monitoring solutions and advanced level of experience in Network Security
• Campus Area Network Architecture & Management
• CCNA Certified or equivalent level of working knowledge of TCP/IP routing
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Teamcity, Octopus Deploy, ProGet would be a plus
• Knowledge and experience in Kubernetes/Docker would be a plus
• Experience in Git tool and branch model would be a plus
