Amadeus Hiring for Software Development Engineer – Security Job at Sydney, Australia Full Time

Purpose of the Role

Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain a mission critical application: Amadeus Identidy and Access Management, in collaboration with other developments centers.
Amadeus Identity and Access Management is Amadeus central user repository. It authenticates and manage access control data for Amadeus products in different Business area: Distribution, Airline IT, Hotel and Rail. It is for example used by the Departure Control Solution that boarded hundreds of millions passengers in 2019.

Because of the criticality and ubiquity of those components accross all Amadeus businesses, their development and support is spread across the globe, mainly in Europe and Australia.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, code, unit test and document new features or improve existing ones.
• Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product.
• Provide third level support to operations on production incidents and implement follow-up actions during Sydney business hours and as part of the oncall loop.
• Create, Schedule and Apply operational changes during Sydney business hours, in collaboration with Software Reliability Engineers overseas.
• Contribute to innovation and share knowledge sharing.
• Report and lead projects.

Skills & Experience Required

• University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Position opened to all level of seniority from graduate to senior
• C++ or Java expertise
• RDBMS and NoSQL
• Development on GNU/Linux environment
• Background in security, public cloud or large scale transactionnal systems is a plus
• Strong problem solving skills
